Globalization has transformed economic, social, technological, and institutional relations, creating opportunities and challenges for poverty alleviation in developing societies. This paper examines the impact of globalization on poverty alleviation in Taraba State, Nigeria, focusing on employment, agriculture, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, human capital, market access, and income opportunities. The study adopts a qualitative research design based on secondary data from scholarly publications, government reports, policy documents, and international development organizations. Data are analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The paper finds that globalization has enhanced access to information, markets, technology, investment, skills development, and development programmes. However, its poverty-reducing benefits are constrained by inadequate infrastructure, limited finance, unemployment, low technological capacity, rural isolation, weak institutions, and unequal access to economic opportunities. The paper concludes that globalization can support poverty alleviation when complemented by effective policies, infrastructure, agricultural modernization, digital inclusion, entrepreneurship development, and human capital investment.
